Dr. Jane Klug lives in Spearfish, SD with her husband, Ken. She has two children, Paxton and Amelia, who are both on the eastern side of South Dakota studying at different universities. Klug currently serves as the Dean of Students at Black Hills State University where she is responsible for the operations of Student Health and Counseling Services and the Student Union and Activities, which includes student organizations, fall orientation, leadership development, and student activities. As dean, she is responsible for judicial procedures on campus, serves on various university committees, and advises Student Senate, Thompson Diversion Program and the Swarm Days Planning Committee. In the community, Jane keeps busy walking her dogs, volunteering with local organizations and serving at her church.
As an undergraduate, Dr. Klug received her Associate’s degree in business administration at Willmar Community College, and then doubled majored in communications and recreation-facility management at St. Cloud State University. Her master’s degree in College Student Personnel Administration is from Central Missouri State University and her doctorate in Education Administration is from the University of South Dakota. This is Jane’s 33rd year at BHSU.
